Winter Majesty Upon A Sled

When the first big snow falls, a child’s eyes illuminate with wonder. Their heart beats faster with excitement. And parents relish the joy in their little faces.

In the town of Grandville, we awoke a few days ago to a blanket of white. That first thick layer of snow is beautiful. Everything covered in sparkling fluff.

And oh, the twinkle in my daughter’s eyes when she looked out the window. She was mystified. “Mommy, look at all the snow! I want to go play in it!”

Jonathan came into the living room and looked as delighted as her. “We have enough snow to take Bella sledding!”

That settled it.

I dressed Isabella to the max in layers of clothes and snow gear. It’s a wonder she could even move.

And we hit the hills in our family toboggan.

The rest…is a snowy story.

This is happiness.

  1. I have such fond memories of the first snow and then going out to play on the sled. It was so much fun. We didn’t have all that fancy winter snow clothes, but it was still so much fun.
